Microsoft research Asia Pacific group chairman Zhang (Ya-Qing Zhang) announced today in China this year, the company plans to recruit a large developers to ascend Microsoft in China of the fast development of intelligent mobile phone market share, and strengthen it in Internet search and cloud computing and other areas of strength.

At present, Microsoft Office 2010 in mainland China has more than 3000 employees, including research and development in Hong Kong, the rest of Asia and 600 to 700 r&d staff. Microsoft in the world has more than 30000 research and development staff.

Zhang said that Microsoft will continue to improve the Windows, the next generation of office products based on cloud, search and advertising business. Microsoft will also increase of Windows phone, TV and game platform in the investment of consumer products. Microsoft in the Asian Pacific region this year of research and development expenditure budget about 500 million dollars. Microsoft a year worldwide spending approximately $9 billion.

Zhang said, Microsoft for mobile platform for a distribution channel is very important. He said Microsoft has made some wrong, the company does need a distribution channel. Microsoft Office 2007 needs nokia multimedia strength, nokia has really good at development of the mobile phone market in different fields. This will be a perfect cooperation deal.

Zhang said, and because it has software piracy, market lacks clear regulatory and institutional problems, such as the Chinese market for international companies still has a lot of challenging it. He said China's Internet environment change soon, multinational companies need more time to adapt to China's policies, so the decision is often slow speed.
